Holiday Trash Schedule

  The City does not pick up trash on the following holidays: 

  •  New Years Day 
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  •  President's Day
  •  Memorial Day 
  • Juneteenth
  •  Fourth of July 
  •  Labor Day 
  • Veterans Day
  •  Thanksgiving (Thursday & Friday)
  •  Christmas Eve 
  •  Christmas Day

The Transfer Station and Landfill will be closed on the day of each holiday, and during the week of each holiday, there is no Wednesday Organic Recycling Pickup.

Other Holidays

Trash schedules remain the same during all other FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED holidays, Columbus Day. 


 

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
 Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and Thursday, December 25, 2025 
City offices will be closed on Wednesday December 24th, Thursday December 25th and Friday December 26th for the Christmas holiday.

·  Normal trash pickup on Monday, December 22nd and Tuesday, December 23rd.  

·  Thursday trash pickup will move to Wednesday, December 24th.

· There will be no curbside organics recycling pickup on Wednesday.

· Friday trash pickup will move to Saturday, December 27th.

 

New Year's Day
Thursday, January 1, 2026 
 City offices will be closed on Thursday, January 1, 2026, for the New Year's Day holiday. 

·         Normal trash pickup on Monday, December 29th and Tuesday, December 30th.  

·         Thursday trash pickup will move to Wednesday, December 31st.

·         There will be no curbside organics recycling pickup on Wednesday.

·         Normal trash pickup on Friday, January 2nd.

 

Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Monday, January 19th, 2026
 Monday routes will be shifted to Tuesday, and Tuesday routes will be shifted to Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will remain on the normal schedule. There will be no organics collection on Wednesday, January 21ST.

 

Washington's Birthday (President's Day)
Monday, February 16, 2026
 Monday routes will be shifted to Tuesday, and Tuesday routes will be shifted to Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will remain on the normal schedule. There will be no organics collection on  Wednesday, February 18th.

 

Memorial Day
Monday, May 25, 2025
 Monday routes will be shifted to Tuesday, and Tuesday routes will be shifted to Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will remain on the normal schedule. There is no organics collection on Wednesday, May 27th.

 

Juneteenth

Friday, June 19, 2026
Monday and Tuesday collection service will remain as normally scheduled. Thursday routes will be shifted to Wednesday, June 17th, and Friday routes will be shifted to Thursday, June 18th. There will be no organics recycling pick up on Wednesday, June 17th.

 

Independence Day - 4th of July
 Saturday, July 4, 2026
 Monday and Tuesday collection service will remain as normally scheduled.  Thursday routes will be shifted to Wednesday, July 2nd, and Friday routes will be shifted to Thursday, July 3rd.  There will be no organics recycling pick up on Wednesday, July 2nd.

 

Labor Day
 Monday, September 7, 2026
Monday routes will be shifted to Tuesday, and Tuesday routes will be shifted to Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will remain on the normal schedule. There is no organics collection on Wednesday, Sep 9th. 


Veterans Day
Wednesday, November 11, 2026

Trash collection Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday will remain on the normal schedule.  There will be no organics recycling pick up on Wednesday, November 11th.

 Thanksgiving
 Thursday & Friday, November 27-28, 2025
Monday and Tuesday will remain on the normal schedule.  There will be no trash pickup on Thursday or Friday of this week.  Thursday is shifted up to Wednesday, and Friday will be shifted to Saturday.  There will be no organics recycling pick up on Wednesday, November 26th.
