Establishments are required to have at least one Manager of Operations or "Pool Manager" that has either completed the Health District's "Pool School" or has one of the following licenses (Class A & Class B Aquatic Facilities & Facilities with Public Interactive Water Features must have one of the following licenses) :

  1. NRPA, “Aquatic Facility Operator”
  2. PHTA, “Certified Pool Operator” (also known as CPO)
  3. ASPSA, “Licensed Aquatic Facility Technician”
  4. An equivalent course which requires testing and provides certification that is approved by the local regulatory authority.

2024 Testing will take place at the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District located at 1700 3rd Street in Wichita Falls, TX on the following days at 1:30 pm (YOU MUST CALL 940-761-7820 TO SCHEDULE YOUR TEST):

The Health District's In-Person Pool School course and test for February 26, 2024 will be at the MPEC located at 1000 5th Street in Wichita Falls, TX.


All other In-Person Pool School courses and tests for 2024 will be at the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District located at 1700 3rd Street in Wichita Falls, TX on March 8th, March 26th, and April 11th from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (or until you finish your test). You must call 940-761-7820 to schedule your date. Pool Managers may take the In-Person course OR the online method above.
