1. How do I add my business to the vendor list for the City?

Complete the Vendor Application and fax or mail it to the Purchasing Department. Vendor Application

2. I forgot to turn in my Intent to Bid, can I still submit my bid?

The Intent to Bid can be faxed or mailed at any time prior to the bid opening. Failure to submit the Intent to Bid does not exclude a vendor from bidding.

3. Can I submit my bid via fax?

Bids totaling less than $25,000 can be submitted by fax. However, anything at or over $25,000 is to be mailed in a sealed envelope to the address listed on the bid.

4. How can I find out when, and or for which products, the City will be soliciting proposals?

All formal bids (over $50,000) are advertised in the Legal Section of the Wichita Falls Times and Record News twice beginning 14 days prior to the bid opening. The upcoming bids will be posted on this web site and on Channel 11. A listing of the items that are bid annually can be obtained by clicking here. Annual Bids

5. What is the exception on a Call for Bid?

An exception is a condition where the product design, features, capability, size or some other factor does not meet the specifications listed. Request for Approved Equals
