  1. Wichita Falls Ride to Read

    Children wishing to visit the library during the summer months will be able to take a bus for free to the library. Any child ages 8 and up can ride the City bus to and from the library for free. Children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult, who may also ride to the library without paying a fare. Fare cards are available for pickup at the library. Children will have the back of their fare card stamped as validation that they have visited the library. The event begins May 28th and ends August 23rd, 2019.

  5. 4th of July Trash Schedule

    July 1, 2019, 8:00 AM - July 5, 2019, 5:00 PM @ Wichita Falls

    City Offices will be closed for the 4th of July Holiday. Monday and Tuesday trash collection will remain on the normal schedule. Thursday's collection service will be moved to Wednesday, July 3rd and Friday service will remain on the normal schedule. There will be nor organic collection on Wednesday, July 3rd.

  8. 4th In The Falls

    July 4, 2019, 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Ray Clymer Exhibit Hall

    The City of Wichita Falls along with Spectra is excited to host this year's Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 4th at the MPEC. This year's 4th in the Falls event will feature live music performed by opening act, Clint Vines and the Hard Times and headliner, FORTE! Vendor Mall open at 4:00 pm along with a designated Kids Zone equipped with bounce houses, obstacle courses, and inflatable for all ages. In conjunction with the city's festivities, there will be youth soccer, food trucks, beer gardens and last but not least, a 20-minute firework display beginning at approximately 9:30 pm. 4th in the Falls has always been heavily attended by thousands in the Wichita Falls Community. So bring out the blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy top-notch, FREE entertainment for the entire family!
