The Kemp is the latest exhibit in the What's Up Downstairs? Gallery at the Kemp features the artwork of WFHS art teacher Chris Mayfield. His work reinterprets contemporary pop culture images, focusing on super-heroes and villains and revitalizing them with a painterly approach. As always, exhibits at The Kemp are open to the public free of charge during all open business hours.

The Dallas Zoo is coming to River Bend Nature Center! There will be two animal shows each day at 10:00 and 11:15 am. This 45-minute interactive program features animals from around the world! This program is open to schools and the public. Groups of 10 or more must reserve their spot. Don't miss your chance to see these exotic animals up close and personal!

Come join the fun! Parks & Recreation and the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department will conduct these FREE after school fishing sessions for all area youth that are interested. Kids need only to show up and be prepared to have a good time. A limited number of poles will be available to borrow from TPWD and bait will be provided. Participants will receive personalized & expert instruction on common fishing techniques. Fish, of legal size, can be take home (if parents approve, of course). All should bring a bucket for "take home" fish, a drink, hat & sunscreen. Register on-site at South Weeks Pond the day of the event.
