  2. 2019 Asphalt Rehabilitation Project

    November 14, 2019, 8:00 AM - December 30, 2019, 12:00 PM @ Brook Avenue from the Kell West frontage road to Seymour Highway.

    As part of the 2019 Asphalt Rehabilitation Project, concrete and asphalt repairs will begin today, November 14th on Brook Ave from Kell West frontage road to Seymour Highway. The construction will require the contractor to periodically close lanes of traffic in a small section, however, one Northbound and Southbound lane will remain open through the duration of the project repairs. Repairs are expected to take approximately one month, weather permitting. Please use caution and drive slowly when traveling in this area.

The MSU-Burns Fantasy of Lights is filled with individual displays that showcase themes or characters from well-known children’s stories, fairy tales, and holiday icons.

  4. The Travel Center and Falls Ride will be Closed Christmas Day & New Years Day

    The Travel Center and Falls Ride will be closed Christmas Day and New Years Day. Greyhound lines will be running these days you must have purchased an e-ticket online or before the station closes on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at 5:00 pm & Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at 6:00 pm. Tickets must be printed or you must have a visible e-ticket on a smartphone. You will not be allowed to board the Greyhound bus with only a confirmation number.   5. Natural Christmas Tree Disposal

    The City of Wichita Falls Sanitation Department has four locations for the free disposals of natural Christmas trees. Only real trees that have been completely stripped of the tree stand, all decoration, and lights will be accepted. No Artificial trees will be accepted. Tree Drop Off locations is Lucy Park and Kiwanis Park Open 24 hours. City Transfer Station open Mon.- Fri. 8 am - 6 pm and Sat. 8 am - 5 pm. City Landfill Open Mon. - Sat. 8 am - 5 pm.
