    The Wichita Falls Public Library is still seeking original artwork from all local artist to celebrate their 100-year anniversary. To be eligible you must be 14 years of age and older, original paintings, drawings, photographs and mixed media on canvas will be accepted. Artwork must be able to be hung on a wall and must not exceed 24 inches by 36 inches. Submission Deadline is October 15, 2018.

    The Wichita Falls City Council will meet three times for the month of September, these meetings will be held in the Council Chambers located on the first floor of Municipal Auditorium, 1300 7th Street. These meetings are open to the public. All City Council agendas will be posted on the City Website the Friday prior to the Scheduled Council meeting.

    Two new series of the Diabetes Education Program will be offered from September till November. These classes are geared towards people living with the diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes.     Wichita Falls Parks and Recreation would like to welcome the 2018 Fall Outdoor Concert Series. Performances will occur every other Tuesday during September and October. Bring your lawn chair or blanket, sit back, and enjoy an evening of great music and socializing. Concerts are presented by area musicians and offer a variety of music genres. Come out and join the fun with your family and friends, support local talent and your Parks & Recreation Department.
