  6. Process Art Experiences

    Children age 5 and up are invited to join WFPL staff in the activity room for fun arts and crafts. The focus will be on the creation of the art rather than the end product. Children will be encouraged to use their imaginations, flex their creativity, and experiment with the materials. Even though this is for older children, library staff will have age-appropriate activities for your toddlers to do with their parents while their siblings create.

  7. Fisher House Foundation Benefit Dance

    August 2, 2018, 1:30 PM - August 4, 2018, 6:30 PM @ Elks Lodge

    The Fisher House Foundation provides housing to the family of veterans who are hospitalized. This benefit dance will have two sessions per day and two bands per day. Afternoon sessions starting at 1:00 pm and evening at 6:30 pm. The bands to play will be Mark Fields Band, The Swing Shift, Borrowed Bandits, The Night Life, Lone Star Troubadours and Texas Boneyard.

  8. Farmer's Market at Hospice of Wichita Falls

    Morath Orchard from Charlie will bring the Farmer's Market to Hospice of Wichita Falls front parking lot every other Friday from 7:30 am - 9:30 am, beginning May 25th. It is open to the public, so stop by and pick up some beautiful fresh fruits, vegetables and honey and help the volunteer department of Hospice at the same time. Morath Orchard graciously donates a percentage of their sales to HOWF. Thank you Morath Orchard!!!

  9. History Harvest and Texas Film Round Up

    August 3, 2018, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ Wichita Falls Public Library

    The Wichita Falls Public Library is inviting residents and surrounding areas to participate in preserving your memories bring old photos, films, videotapes, letters, journals and other documents for FREE digitization. Staff and volunteers from sponsoring organizations will review and scan paper items on site and immediately return the owner's original materials, along with a FREE digital copy. In addition, Texas-related films can be dropped off at the event and The Texas Archive of the Moving Image will digitize these materials in Austin and return them by mail to the owners at NO COST, along with a digital copy. To QUALIFY for free digitization, participants must be willing to donate a digital copy of their materials to TAMI's archive, a digital collection at texasarchive.org. Drop films and videotapes at the Library in advance, during regular business hours every Friday, July 13, 20, 27, and August 3.

  11. Breastfeeding Celebration! hosted by: Wichita Falls WIC Clinic & The North Texas Area Breastfeeding Coalition

    August 3, 2018, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Wichita Falls Museum of Art at Midwestern State University.

    Different vendors from our local community programs, breastfeeding educational games, food, and drinks, contests, prizes, speakers, & more! This will also be the local registered location for "The Global Big Latch On". If you would like to participate registration begins at 10 am and "The Latch On" will begin at 10:30 am lasting 1 minute. Bring a decorated Breastfeeding Baby Onesie and compete with everyone else for a chance to win a fun prize!!!
