    Mineral Wells Photographers Dee Elliot focuses her work on the things she's loved since childhood: ranching, horses, cattle, and the natural world. Her current exhibit in the What's Up Downstairs? Gallery at the Kemp brings to life her background in horse training while highlighting her joy in observing nature, particularly birds and plant life. With over 50 photographs on view, this exhibit is rich in imagery, detail and color.

  6. Sally Struck "Just My Imagination" Gallery Exhibit

    Now showing in the West End Studio: Artist Sally Struck's history in quilting is apparent in her new exhibit, "Just My Imagination". These small-scale collages and mixed media pieces are informed by the precise geometry and color manipulation of patchwork quilting, as well as a joy in sewing. The exhibit is open and free to the public during all Kemp Center business hours.

  11. Halloween in the Park - NOW FREE!

    Costume Parade and Contest: All ages, groups or individuals. Register between 4:30 pm - 5:00 pm at Lucy Park Log Cabin. A parade begins at 5:00 pm followed by judging at 5:45 pm (13 awards will be presented. Groups constitute one entry). Pumpkin Decorating Contest: Decorating - Not Carving. For ages 10 and under - boys & girls begins at 6:00 pm. Decorating, judging, & awards (limited number of participants. First come, first served). General activities: bounce house, balloon sculptures (10 & under), cake walk (every half hour, begins at 6:00 pm). Carnival games: basketball toss, ring toss, chip toss, ball bingo, goblet game, milk bottle game, clinko, mini golf, and horseshoes. A concession stand will be available at the event. (Cash Only)
