Artwork must be able to be hung on a wall and must not exceed 24 inches by 36 inches. Submission Deadline is October 15, 2018.

    Pre-registration is not necessary. The class size is limited to 40 students and will be closed when that number is reached. We will open the classroom 30 minutes before the posted class time. The cost of the completed 2-hour course (including exam) is $20.00 per student and due at class time. Advanced approval must be obtained for establishments that wish to be billed for employees' training. The Food Handlers Card is valid for two years at which time you must take another class to renew your card.

  9. Quilting in the Falls

    There will be over 100 beautiful quilts on display, door prizes, and much more. There will be 18 vendors, some quilt-related, others of general interest. Many will do demonstrations at their booths. The Scissor Guy will sharpen your scissors or knives while you enjoy the quilt show. Added this year will be a silent auction of small quilts and wall hangings with different quilts each day. You can place a bid or "Buy it Now". The drawing for the beautiful raffle quilt will be Saturday at 4:00 pm. Tickets for Quilting in the Falls are $6 each, $5 for seniors, and children 12 and under are free.

  23. Wichita Falls Parks & Recreation: Canine Courses Session 4

    The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-Step CGC test will receive a copy of the test which may be submitted to the American Kennel Club, with appropriate fees, for an official CGC certificate. Handlers will learn a variety of training skills to help build a better relationship with their dog. Skill include: Walking on a loose leash, teaching the dog to sit, down, and stay when asked. The handler will be shown humane ways to redirect unwanted behavior in their dogs.
