  2. 2019 Asphalt Rehabilitation Project

    November 14, 2019, 8:00 AM - December 30, 2019, 12:00 PM @ Brook Avenue from the Kell West frontage road to Seymour Highway.

    As part of the 2019 Asphalt Rehabilitation Project, concrete and asphalt repairs will begin today, November 14th on Brook Ave from Kell West frontage road to Seymour Highway. The construction will require the contractor to periodically close lanes of traffic in a small section, however, one Northbound and Southbound lane will remain open through the duration of the project repairs. Repairs are expected to take approximately one month, weather permitting. Please use caution and drive slowly when traveling in this area.

  4. ElectriCritters: A Lighted Christmas Display

    ElectriCritters, River Bend Nature Center's annual lighted Christmas display will be open every Friday and Saturday from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. With the flip of a switch, more than 60,000 lights on the 195 lighted displays will glitter and sparkle, bringing the sights and sounds of the season to adults and children.

The MSU-Burns Fantasy of Lights is filled with individual displays that showcase themes or characters from well-known children’s stories, fairy tales, and holiday icons.

    Animal Services Center is offering a special "Home for the Holidays" reduced adoption fee event for three days only! Take advantage of the reduced rates this Thursday, December 5th through Saturday, December 7th. One Cat or Kitten: $20.00, One Dog or Puppy: $20.00. The reduced adoption fee also covers the following for each animal adopted: vaccinations, worming, feline leukemia testing for cats, heartworm testing for dogs six months and older, flea and tick preventative, & microchipping.
